50 Days of ECO-Love | Design #7

Seven is late, but it is totally worth the wait!

If you have never used handmade crochet washcloths I'm here to share with you that you are missing something - really missing something. They are durable, lint free and one of life's greatest pleasures. However, you probably have seen them everywhere, including my shop, because frankly they are easy to make, always a top seller and people love a little "Grand-ma Nostalgia" when buying knitted or crocheted items - and I totally love you for this.

Nevertheless, I have outdone myself today in respect to the ever abundant and worthy washcloth. I'd like to introduce you to my newest line of SUPER fun, SUPER cute, and SUPER kid friendly Critter Cloths!

They are for the bath.
They are puppets.
They are washcloths.
They are totally You!

I have to say they are not just for kids, though I know the kids are going to love these. I also thought it even more relevant to offer them during this event, because you all deserve to see these designs first!

This Critter Cloth was inspired by the

Scientific Name
Prionace glauca

How this Critter Cloth came together:

I start with a crocheted washcloth and then create pockets. Next, I add the facial features (teeth, eyes, and fin). Everything is made with 100% organic cotton and is sure to delight even the most serious.

Since this design was inspired by the Blue Shark, I wanted to make sure I captured some physical elements. The first characteristic was a pointed and prominent nose, this was followed by a shallow dorsal fin. Finally, I gave my shark a top row of teeth as this is the only row usually seen because of the shape of this shark's gum line.

This Critter Cloth takes about 1 1/2 hours to create from start to finish and can be made in different colors.

Percentage of Organic Materials:  100%
